WHERE ARE YOU BASED?

WHY SHOULD I CHOOSE HIGHLAND DREAMS PHOTOGRAPHY?
Because you and your dog deserve a photoshoot experience with someone who can capture the quintessential character of your dog(s).
HOW LONG IS A TYPICAL PHOTOSHOOT EXPERIENCE?
We allow up to 2 hours for each photoshoot as every dog is unique, although typically we get the shoot in the bag in 45-60 minutes.
DO YOU CHARGE A SESSION FEE?
We do charge for the session as follows:
Weekend Shoot Fee: £125
Weekday Shoot Fee Special Offer: £75
The session fee doesn’t include any digital images, prints or products; these are purchased afterwards at your viewing.
You don’t need to commit to any packages or products until you have seen your images.
DOES MY DOG NEED TO BE TRAINED?
No, please don’t worry if your dog doesn’t have the best recall or attention span. My experience allows me to get the best picture from the most reluctant of dogs. Often we will use the lead to keep them in one place so it helps if you can bring a collar if your dog usually wears a harness.
I HAVE MORE THAN ONE DOG, CAN THEY ALL BE IN THE PHOTOSHOOT?
Yes, I have photographed multiple dogs before in a photoshoot. However, as safety is paramount you will need to bring at least one other person with you.
DO YOU HAVE INSURANCE?
Yes, I have both professional and public liability insurance.
DO I NEED TO TAKE MY DOG TO THE GROOMERS BEFORE THE PHOTOSHOOT?
That’s totally up to you. I firmly beleive that your dog’s pictures should be captured exactly as you see them everyday.
On the Day Photoshoot Questions
CAN I BE IN THE PHOTOS?
Of course you can, there is nothing better than a photo with your best friend.
WHAT IF IT RAINS ON THE DAY OF THE SHOOT?
I always check the weather the day before and make a call to save wasted journeys. However sometimes the weather changes and if needs be we can reschedule to another date that suits.
WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY PHOTOSHOOT?
I understand that circumstances change but just ask that you give as much notice as possible if you cannot attend. We can then reschedule your shoot.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING ON THE DAY OF THE PHOTOSHOOT?
Treats, toys, water, poo bags and a lead with collar if possible for your fur-baby. Sensible outdoor clothing and footwear for you if we are doing a location shoot. We have some handy tips in our Pawrait App
WHEN WILL I GET TO SEE MY IMAGES?
We aim to have edited your images within 2 weeks after the session and will arrange a date for the viewing at the end of the photoshoot. These are usually done in person in our viewing room so that you can see your images on our big screen. Due to COVID restrictions we can also do your viewing virtually via Zoom, a web based video conferencing tool.
CHOOSING YOUR IMAGES
My aim is to capture images you will love at first sight. Your challenge is to not fall in love with all of them. Our presentation system will allow you to quickly decide on your favourite images.
WHAT PRODUCTS DO YOU OFFER?
We have both framed and contemporary wall art available as well as folio boxes, print package and digital files.

HOW LONG AFTER WE"VE PLACED AN ORDER DO WE RECEIVE OUR PRODUCTS?
Products will be available for collection from the studio approximately 4-6 weeks after you have placed your order.
WHEN DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR MY PRODUCTS?
Your products are bespoke to you and as such we require payment in full before we place an order. We accept most bank and credit cards as well as bank transfer as methods of payment.
DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?
Yes, we have 2 ways in which you can spread payments.
- Payments spread over 3-12 months with order sent to lab when final payment made.
- Interest Free Credit with DivideBuy. We refer your purchase to them and acceptance, payment schedule and amounts are subject to status with 0%APR.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I SCHEDULE A PHOTOSHOOT WITH YOU?
To guarantee your choice of time we suggest booking at least a month in advance.
During the summer months and around school holidays you may want to book earlier so we can schedule your preferred date.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us as we may be able to squeeze short notice bookings in.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
The session fee is non-refundable in the event of a cancellation within 48 hours of the photoshoot.
If we need to reschedule a session for any reason, a rescheduled session will first be offered. If this is not suitable then a full refund will be made.
WHAT IF I'M NOT READY TO BOOK RIGHT NOW?

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU TAKE?
We take all major credit and debit cards, bank transfer and we also have an Interest Free Credit option.
